In secondaries, they ask about interests and Extracurricula activities, do you list all of them that are already listed in your primary application again?

They also ask what you did and you basically have to rewrite the same thing in different words. Why don't they just use primary for that kind of info?

What else are they gonna ask you? They really just want your $$.

Because if you take the time to fill out essays, regardless of the topic you in theory have a sincere interest in the school.

Ever heard of open and closed interviews? That's why.

So does that mean you can "cut-n-paste" word for word EC's & descriptions, just so the secondary is filled out? Or do u have to change wording to look like you changed it? I could imagine the latter being true!?!

I cut and pasted from my AACOMAS to secondaries that had me list ECs. Again, secondaries are all about money for the most part with the rare exception of a few really relevant prompts and miscellaneous questions.

Yes, you can capy and paste all the information from your primary onto your secondary. I actually called one school to verify this with them. The secondary also allows you to update information from your primary....but not much can really change in such a small time frame anyway.

"capy"

As you can see above, the only thing you can't do is edit what you wrote. 🙂

It really depends on the school. Some of the secondaries I did asked the bascically the same thing as on the primary and others were just a few essay questions. I do wonder if it is only an excuse to get more money at some of the schools, but whatever the reason, just fill them out and get them submitted.😀 :luck:

Then you get the standard "Why osteopathic medicine; why should our school consider you.." I've gotten that from 3 DO schools 😉

I looked at it slightly differently. While my activities were what I had in my primaries, what I wrote about them were different. The ones in the primaries were more descriptions of what I did and my responsibilities... what I wrote on my secondaries was more what I learned and ... and how it benfits me as a future physician. I saw it as another chance to show them another side of me as an applicant.
