Why do the schools see your acceptances?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So I'm guessing they can also see which schools you've applied to?

No, that was a fluke in 2001-02 cycle. Knowing where you've been accepted as of March or April (I don't know exactly) tells them who the competition for admitted applicants is.

Do the schools have access before or after accepting you?
I'm just wondering if a school could refuse you just because you were accepted only to 1 school.

Medical schools aren't going to reject you because other schools did. This isn't a high school popularity contest.

They have access after they either accept/waitlist you.

At the end of the cycle, they can see where anyone who applied to their school ended up. It is helpful to see what the competition is doing.
