I remember wondering about this the first time i learned about thyroid path stuff and now reviewing it again and seeing it in robbins, harrisons, and any source i can find it always mentions hyperthyroid causing diarhea.. i cant even spell that word right damnit.. anyway, i dont understand why. The only reasons they give is a decrease transit time in the GI. But to me, a hyperthyroid increasing Beta receptors everywhere, which would increase sympathetic type stuff everywhere, should not increase GI motility but decrease it. I would think GI motility would be slowed is what im trying to say. Anyone explain this? thanks
