My college asked me for a list of all schools I plan to apply to, so they can upload my committee letter through Virtial Eval.

What I don't understand is why would they need to know all schools since it is only required to send my committee letter to AMCAS and from their I choose where to send my letters.

Is there something I don't know about this process?

This is the first time that most of the schools are using AMCAS, and there still are schools that aren't using it. I think its 20 of them that aren't. So your school needs to know who to send it to still.

Most colleges don't customize their packets; so make sure that your school's letterhead doesn't list ALL the schools you're applying to. You don't really want to tip off any particular adcom about your geographic biases, etc. Also important if you're applying to some MD/PhD programs and some MD-only programs.

This is good to know. Thanks.
