Why does the AMCAS login page say it is reviewing transcripts received on 7/17?

when my transcript was in 6/28, and app submitted 7/12, and I am still not even "under review"

What does this mean? I also notice no one on the verification page who submitted 7/16 is verified yet, so what gives?

To make you feel bad, probably....jk.

I would suggest calling to see how come your application is behind. Maybe there's some problem with it? I know I've read on here that some folks have had their transcripts received and then eventually lost by verification time. So to be safe, I'd call AMCAS.

So I called an it turns out that the date on the login page is referring to when they put your transcript into your file, and not verification of it. I also asked about timeliness, and he said that right now is still on the early side of things, and it gets really busy in August. He said verification is currently taking about 2-3 weeks, whereas in mid august it will be taking 6 weeks. So, primary submissions in August is considered the middle-time rush.

I just submitted today and my transcripts were received weeks ago and entered into the system. But currently my status says "waiting for transcripts". What is up with that? Does it happen to everyone immediately upon submission and then change a day later?

mine said the same thing. i logged out and then logged right back in and it was changed to "waiting for review".
