on the app, for secondary experiences, it only asks for a name and title, but not phone number? do schools not contact? are students not trusted to put down real phone numbers?

I wonder if they ever follow up on these claims.. without the phone number it seems like a nasty task for whoever has to do it.

that's strange...wouldn't they want to make sure that you actually do or did the activities you listed? the process is so competitive, shouldn't they be sure of everything in your application?

Why would they take time to check everyone's claims? Honestly. One of my experiences was mountain climbing. Yes, I've done it. But whose phone number am I going to put down? The only person who has climbed with my is my husband. You really think they're going to call him and make sure I really climbed a few mountains? No. They have better things to do. I guess it would only be suspicious if you put something down like: I did stem cell research - contact: President Bush. That might raise a flag or two. Otherwise, I have no idea why they have that field. Maybe just as another opportunity to flag applications for possible falsifications.
