MD schools do this with the MSAR. It would be much better for applicants to know where they stand and gauge their chances rather than just roughly estimating.

That's totally not trueThe 10th percentile of MCAT and GPA might be too revealing

No just saying not all people who get into DO school have a terrible MCAT or GPA. I made my choice solely off of shadowing both MD and DO and saw how the DO helped my father with MS much much more than any MD specialist he saw.Do you mean that that's not why they don't do a 10th-90th range for gpa and mcat or that the 10th percentile isn't low?
I think the other posters point is that the 10% percentile will still be low no matter how great DO doctors are...The 90th wont be as high either obviouslyNo just saying not all people who get into DO school have a terrible MCAT or GPA. Yeah ten percentile should even be considered ever. I agree I wouldn't post it either if I accepted someone that low.I think the other posters point is that the 10% percentile will still be low no matter how great DO doctors are...The 90th wont be as high either obviously
average or a median would be best. DO schools shouldnt be obligated to have to present data in the same format as the MSAR with 10th and 90ths.Yeah ten percentile should even be considered ever. I agree I wouldn't post it either if I accepted someone that low.
