why is NYU not giving interviews?

does anyone know? In the letter, it says an interview is not required but then it also says that you can interview if you want. What does that mean? I have to set up my own interview?

It just means that for the few exceptional applicants with awesome stats, they can be accepted without an interview. For other applicants, they will contact you for an interview. You can come and visit the school at any time though. I think thats what it means.
