Yeah, tear jerker. Usually things don't evoke so much emotion out of me. Injustice, despair, hope, compassion, redemption. All the makings of a great story.. and true to boot.

Yep, although this was great because it got so much media coverage, so hopefully it brings about more awareness and less violence.

Yeah.. it doesn't make sense to me. Did they attack the boy because they wanted to cripple him/ make him a more efficient beggar?? Or for revenge against his father... I didn't read that closely but I was confused by that.

Additionally, if they were doing it to make him a beggar... why the heck did the cut off his penis?
I don't understand how these men were even capable of doing something so atrocious..

I think the violent act was committed because the gang had been in a previous argument with the boy's father, not because they wanted to make him a more efficient beggar (he almost died).

Definitely. Those attackers are not human for torturing a child. They are shameless creatures that will hopefully see a far worse end for their cruel deeds.
