Hey guys,

I frequent this website, but rarely post. You have all provided me with a substantial amount of help. I am looking for your opinions on my chances. My information is posted below.

I have not received any information from any of these schools except for Nebraska (interview) and Iowa (deferral). Is there anything that I am lacking, or any reason that I am not hearing from any school, whether it be an interview or rejection?

I applied in early August, and my letters of rec, and DAT were taken at the end of August, so those were both sent out to the schools in early September.

I applied to 10 schools, and I have only been contacted by two of them.

Application list:

Nebraska: Interview
Iowa: Deferral
Creighton: N/A
North Carolina: N/A
Oregon: N/A
ASDOH: N/A
MOSDOH: N/A
Boston: N/A
Marquette: N/A
Western: N/A

PAT: 21 / QR: 20 / RC: 18 / BIO: 18 / GC: 20 / OC: 20 / TS: 19 / AA: 19

GPA: 3.7 / Science GPA: 3.5 (rough year in biology freshman year)
---after freshman year, I had all A's and 3 B+'s

I only have 50 hours of shadowing, and 200+ hours of volunteering.
I was apart of many leadership organizations during undergrad, and I have owned/own two businesses. I am a second year applicant, and I have a job as a chemistry analyst for one of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world.

I am just beginning to get worried, so I thought I would come to you for help.

Thank you very much.

Your grades aren't bad at all. The DATs are also fine. You might get 2 more interview post December. Keep calling and following up w the schools to see if they have all your files.

MOSDOH hasn't done anything really. Oregon is super slow. What's your residency? Oregon, Nebraska, and North Carolina in the same boat seems odd. Residency might keep one or more of those quiet.

I am from Nebraska and went to a small private school in Nebraska as well.

Hang in there. I am sure you will hear soon enough. Your stats are great so you should not have a problem. I on the other hand, have not received one interview yet! Still hanging in there 🙂 Just keep hoping 🙂

I know, I am on edge.

AADSAS submitted on 7/9
Committee letter submitted 9/28

Still not a single interview :/

You think my stats are competitive? (with lots of extracurriculars, volunteer work, shadowing, and research...)?

Hahaha thanks for the support 😉 Keep rocking those interviews! 🙂 I feel pretty hopeless at this point. In addition I am not an URM so it makes things tougher. This waiting game is more difficult than I thought it would be...

Keep me in loop with updates!

As an aside, I like your username - kinda relate to it 🙄

My AADSAS was sent later, but my letters were sent at the same time.

Maybe that's our issue? Not sure.

That's 1 more than a lot of people; my guess is as good as anyone's, but you probably have a decent chance considering how quickly Nebraska turned your application into an interview.

Pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered. Sorry, but really pulling for my boy 2PacClone23 before my heart bleeds for those with only 1 interview.

I hear ya brother. My main concern was simply the lack of communication from the schools. I just assumed that they would decided whether to interview or not by now, but I really have no idea.
