Why so many books by Foucar (heme), Hornick (soft), Amin (uro) an so on.

I dont understand it. Have just read the new bladder biopsy interpretation. Apart from a better urine cytology chapter and some new things about sqaumous; there is nothing new!

Money, publication prestige, and they can. Got it?

I think it's a fair question, and I don't have a great answer. In forensic path at least, I would argue there are only a handful of people with the knowledge, writing/editing skills, and most of all, time and inclination, to write, particularly in the younger generation of practitioners. Most of us are just so darn busy keeping up with our day to day case work that we don't have time to write journal articles, let alone a textbook. I don't know much about the economics of book writing either, but imagine that could play into it as well.

Money for all those involved. Just like the Iphone. A new one every year with a few modifications but nothing really game changing. Have to make profit somehow.

Oh great, so the next Rosai isn't going to have a headphone jack?
