What things do you talk about when asked " why our school" ?

Research opportunities, location, family living close, size of the city, residency matching?

I talked about a wide range of things including a strong support network with family and friends, undergrad affiliation, activity within the community, the way the curriculum is set up, their mission statement, the city, etc. Try to avoid straight up lying. If it is prestige then you change the words around and talk about the large alumni network and their success within academic and private medicine or something.

Don't overthink it. Just make it sound like you truly would go there if accepted.

Just tell it how it is. You picked the school for some reason. Even if the main reason was that it was a school you felt you had a good opportunity to gain an acceptance, there is always something else that made you choose it.
