WICHE, How good to get in from non-WICHE

What kind of stats are needed to get into a WICHE dental school if you are not in one of those states? I applied to Colorado and Oregon.

What kind of stats are needed to get into a WICHE dental school if you are not in one of those states? I applied to Colorado and Oregon.

This is what Dr. Kluender told me: (He is the assistant Dean of admissions @Colorado)

Avg Gpa 2003 3.72 ( >3.8 2005 class)
140 applied from colorado, out of those 28-30 matriculate
~12 students from WICHE
680 applicants from out of state of which between 0-3 matriculate


also, out of state tuition at colorado is close to 50K a year.
WICHE is for wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, and Montana I believe.

SO, if you are a colorado resident with a 3.8 and decent DAT scores they will probably take you if not, you are in the same boat as everyother non colorado resident.
