Im from North Dakota and am enrolled in the WICHE program. My advisor told me to apply for it so I can get better rates when I get to dental school.

So my questions are:

1. Does WICHE hold a set amount of spots for students in its program at the different schools?

2. Are WICHE rates comparable to in state tuitions of the respective schools?

3. Which schools actually participate in WICHE?

1. WICHE holds a set amount of available spots for students in their home state only to receive aid (read: not for the dental school in your home state, just aid for the student). They play no role in the number of spots available at each school. However, it may be possible that dental schools participating in WICHE set spots aside themselves for WICHE applicants, though I doubt they would ever release that information; this is complete conjecture on my part by the way, in no way is it fact.

NOTE: Not all states support all fields for schools. For example (fact): North Dakota does not support (currently) students wanting to attend or attending Allopathic Medical schools (MD) or Occupational Therapy schools.

2. It appears you will pay in-state tuition for a state school, which is really really awesome if you're OOS and getting WICHE.
They pay reduced levels of tuition: for most students, resident tuition in public institutions or reduced standard tuition at private schools.
3.
