Hi,

I started my first year University studies this Spring (right now basically); I erolled in two courses an Intro to Philsophy course and a Calculus course. The calculus course took me by surpise and I just messed up a midterm worth 20% I got 60% on it (therefore 12/20% earned). Realisitically I'm having troubles with the course obviously and will finish most likely from 70-80 range.

Will this mark upset my chances at a lot of things? I was hoping getting in and out of University as fast as possible as I know what I want to do.

This question is directed at both schools in the U.S. and Canada (more so I'm interested in U.S. although I'm from Canada).

Any input would be nice.

NOTE: I am considering dropping the course (just so you know).

Thanks!

Gimme a break----

Short answer, no

If you are even considering giving up this early, you're going to get slaughtered later on in undergrad---

1 midterm---gain some confidence friend!

I've messed up a few, but I always redeem myself by working a little bit harder the next time

I suggest that you do the same
