I took a math class that was required to get into pre-calculus 1.
The course number is "0482". It does not count towards my undergraduate GPA since its not a college level (1000 and above). I took it at a community college and It didn't transfer as credit to my university.
Will this class be counted towards my GPA?

If I remember correctly, AADSAS counts everything taken at a post secondary institution towards your GPA (given that there are credits and a letter grade). AADSAS has its own algorithm for determining GPA, regardless of your institution's method for doing so, in order to avoid the issue of some institutions having more lenient policies than others.

If you took it at another institution, remember that AADSAS wants transcripts from all post secondary institutions, so you would have to enter the course under that institution, not your current degree granting institution.

most likely no since it didnt count to your undergrad gpa
AADSAS combines all courses taken at any post secondary institution when calculating GPAs, although they may also provide institution specific GPAs for each institution listed. In that case, the course will count towards OP's total GPA, and GPA specific to that community college, but not their GPA for their degree granting institution.

Awh man! Even if It didn’t count towards my gpa at my community college? Lol I got a C in the class.

Basically they do not consider what your individual institution does. Anything that appears on your official transcript with credits and a grade listed will count. As an example, look at how they deal with repeated courses. Some institutions may only count the highest or most recent attempt towards the GPA listed on the transcript. When AADSAS recalculates GPA, they will consider all attempts that appear on the transcript.

Just looked online for this, you were right! thanks again

So what about a technical school transcript? The dental school I spoke with would not allow those classes to be counted towards hours needed to matriculate into d school, but they will count gpa?? This makes no sense. Any help would be great thanks!

That's a very valid point! ^^^^
If it's not being counted as credit, why consider the GPA?

AADSAS just does whatever, according to their own policy. AADSAS does not oblige dental schools to use the GPA they provide if it is their individual admissions policy. If dental schools want to recalculate your GPA for their purposes, they may.

They're weird. I hate the anticipation and not knowing if you're going to make the cut lol
