Medical Will failed Pass/Fail class affect GPA for AMCAS?

If a class taken on Pass/Fail is subsequently Failed, will it be counted for the GPA on AMCAS? Some undergrad schools seem to not have it impact GPA, but simply lose the credit for the course.

I would check the AMCAS handbook. I think that is also the way AMCAS will treat your P/F grade, and it will be flagged in your verified application even though it won't affect your GPA. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
