I think that it will hurt, but if you don't apply, your rejection rate will be 100%.

Plenty of people get in with C's, myself included. I had a D too! Very grateful to have gotten in though because I know that D was pushing it. I believe adcoms are looking for a pattern that shows what kind of student/person someone is, not any single thing that will auto reject or accept you.

It's a talking point. Be prepared to discuss why you think you struggled in that course and what you learned coming out the other side. Also, if the rest of your application (GPA, MCAT, shadowing, extracurriculars, leadership, etc.) is fine, you will still likely be okay, but the C definitely will raise some eyebrows.
