Hello I am a MD-PhD student who just received his step 1 score and it was 224. I am wondering if this is a good enough score to match for pathology or IM?

Ya I guess my biggest fear is score creep when I come back to medicine in 4 years after doing my PhD. Should I be concerned or will my research make up for that?

The change, if there was any, would not be enough to unqualify you. Rest assured, your PhD and good clinical scores + LORs will make your competitive.
