Will I be considered a URM for admissions purposes?

I am an OFFICIAL member of the Alutiiq tribe. However, in my ancestors' history the Russians conquered the region and correspondingly blended the culture (and genetics) with theirs. As a result, I am an official member with only 1/16th Alutiiq heritage, but this is quite common. Considering all these factors, would I still be considered as a URM during the admissions process?

Most schools consider the native people of North America to be UiM.
The effect on your application will vary by school, connection to your tribe and commitment to service.
