So I'm getting VERY anxious about applying to SMPs. I'm in a bad situation where I have no letters yet. I gave a deadline for 3 weeks via interfolio, but no one has submitted at all even though I sent requests 3 weeks ago, and met with them months in advance. If I don't get everything in until late april will I still be ok? My sGPA is a 2.87, cGPA 3.1 MCAT 39 with moderate ECs. My first semester senior year GPA (with 10 credits of BCPM classes) was a 3.93. Idk I'm just getting very worried :'(. If you guys think I should maybe apply for jobs/a la carte ugrad classes at my state school please let me know!

Time to work on those professional networking skills. You'll need them forever, and you'll need them to get your letters.

1. Google "top list professional communication" - look for recruiters' top 10 lists of best practices in networking. Getting a letter out of a professor is a great deal like trying to find a job.
2. Footwork. Go visit your letter writers. Find their faces before you try phone or email. Find out when their office hours are and GO.
3. Postal mail. Send a card, on actual paper, using an actual stamp, expressing humility and gratitude for their support, politely reminding them of your request and timeline.
4. Remember they are older than you and they are busy people and they get nothing out of this. They are doing you a favor, if you are lucky.
5. Ask the department secretaries for tips on finding them.
6. If you are no longer in the same town as these individuals, it's more difficult, and you thus have to exert yourself even more.

I don't know if I voted on this case earlier or not, but there's a major conflict here, where you want to protect that 39 (hurry up) but your 2.87 sGPA says get back into undergrad (slow down).

Best of luck to you.
