Hello

I am a rising sophomore but because I did two years of dual enrollment I am graduating next year.

I major in Math and have taken the full Chem, Physics, Bio, and Calc series. I am now gearing up to take OChem 1 in the call and complete the mcat this March.

Because of the pandemic locking us all in for my freshman year, I am starting to panic and scramble in getting clinical and volunteering hours.

However, the more immediate problem is the 3 courses I failed over spring 20 - fall 21.

I have retaken all 3 and aced them however I'm worried this (along with taking a few pass fail grades) killed my med school dream prematurely.

FWIW, im a disadvantaged URM, black. core GPA 3.81 and SGPA 3.6.

Do those GPAs include the Fs? If not recalculate and include the Fs. (AMCAS uses every grade you have received in any class you have taken in dual enrollment, college, CC, or uni. There is no grade replacement for AMCAS or DO either.)
But you’ll probably be okay if you have a strong upward trend. When do you plan to take the MCAT? You have to work on your ECs. You need 50 hours of physician shadowing including a good bit with a primary care doc. You also need 200+ hours of clinical experiences. This can be paid or volunteer as long as you have direct , face to face contact with the sick, injured or dying. You also need 200+ hours of nonclinical volunteering . This should be focused on those unserved/underserved in your community.,
You are young so there is no need at all to rush this process. You only want to apply once with the best possible application.

The F grades were put under EF/NC (emergency fail and no credit) so these were not actual grade values. The lowest grade I have ever gotten was a D in a 6 week programming class that I quickly retook to an A+.

FWIW, the NC grades were in Math courses. I am a math major and am doing very well today, these grades were reflective of poor situations at home and bad studying habits.

*in my main post i meant to put spring 2020- fall 2020
