Hello..
I was recently accepted to 2 Rx Schools that require the CBC (background check). Much to my surprise, a traffic ticket that I got during my freshman year of college (April 2003) has been identified on the report as a misdemeanor. The charge was "Following Too Close." I paid the ticket, never went to court, and assumed that it was a minor traffic violation, so I am a little disheartened that this has shown up on my "record" I would like to know, is this going to knock me out of going to Pharmacy School? I was so excited to be accepted, but I will admit I am slightly paranoid about this whole process. I keep waiting for the hatchet to fall any moment now. Thanks for your advice, and I apologize if this is in the wrong thread.

did the ticket or the officer say that it was considered "reckless driving"??

I wonder what kind of report will show up in the background check...

Hmmm... Anyone?

If you've been hired as a fulltime employee before, i doubt youll have anything to worry about.

Every time I've been asked the "have you been convicted of a crime" question, it specifically did not count misdemeanor traffic tickets.

I don't remember how specific question on the supplemental I filled out was phrased, so I have to assume it was the same.

The ticket was in 2003 so I don't remember much. The report just says that it was for following too close, that the fine was paid and how much it was. I have been teaching high school for five years. This will suck if this is what keeps me out

Also. All the apps I have filled out have asked about felonies but not misdemeanors
