Hello everyone, First and foremost i would like to thank everyone who reads this and gives their input on my situation. Here's story.

I'm 22 and have been attending college since 2008. I am currently a Sophomore. I've been taking classes on and off for the last four years and my transcript is riddled in W's (At least 10 of them). The classes I have taken the lowest score I've received was a A-, at least in recent history. I've been contemplating a medical career for quite sometime now and was wondering how this will affect my chances of getting into a medical school. I should also mention that I was recently diagnosed with Anti-Social Personality Disorder and my therapist believes this might be the cause of my sporadic school records. I was just wondering given all this information, do you believe I still have a chance at a medical career or am I going to have to try for something different? Thank you all for your opinions.

Anti-social and being a Physician don't match up.
First priority is to evaluate your diagnosis and seek more help.
Keep out of school for a while until you are well adjusted.

How do you have 10 W😱? Most schools have a limit on how many you can get during you college career at the school (4 for my school I think). If you truly want to go into medical career, then go for it. But if you are not really dedicated to it (your sporadic record makes me question this), you will not be able to get through all the schooling required.

good luck

I've been out of school for about a year now and am slowly easing back into this spring. I've been in therapy for about six months now and my doctors believe I'm doing well enough to start up again. The reason I have all those W's is because i filed for complete withdrawals at least 4-5 classes twice. My school seems not to have a limit, it just affects fin aid which i don't receive either way.

Personality disorders are pretty hard to treat (this is the optimistic view). You will not like medicine. Medicine is a vocation. You need to care about and for people. You can never become complacent or uncaring. As a person with APD, you will become very frustrated and irritated. You will burn out and anything can happen from there. You should really consider another profession, for you and for the patients.
