Okay just to emphasize super easy course... but with my 16 credit course load, weekend package job, few days a month second job, volunteering, oh and hour long commutes.... I'm falling sort somewhere (also this class is early in the morning and forces quick turn arounds cutting into sleep)... I think I should emphasize in Math and Science (3 courses and 3 labs - keep up A's in there) and just get by in this course. The workload isn't hard but the volume is to the point I'm having trouble keeping up... I have an A right now but I think if I aim for a C it'll help me out a lot. This course doesn't matter and I can pass every test by studying a few hours before the test. However acing it requiring intense reading of trivial information (out of 2 books) and knowing events to the 9th degree (not quite but the difference between a B/A is a lot more work.. not hard just volume).

Am I being dumb? Should I just drop this course instead. I have too much going on to ace this right now (although just by winging it I still might).

The thing is I just can't explain getting less than an A in a course like this.

I mean it really is that easy. If it was just a Midterm and Final.... I'd be fine but it's not.

Drop it. Isn't it still pretty early into the semester? My school will just erase the course from the transcript.

If you drop any course before the 3rd or 4th week (don't remember which one), the course won't be on your transcript.

Oh.... I think this is week 5 actually. Darn. I'll ask around though. Thanks for the tip!

Well I just took a test and I'm pretty sure I aced it. The tests matter but the HW assignments/class at 0800 are killing me.

I though I could do it... but I suffer through that day and the day after it now.

-I'm going to see what the final drop date is and make a choice by then.

Just drop it. And don't take 16 units next time with such a busy schedule.

One B/C in some random history course isn't going to hurt you at all. I would not drop it because of that. However if it is really stressing you out and impacting your grades in your other science courses then maybe consider it.

Aim for an A always. The reasoning is that we tend to overestimate our abilities. Once you start aiming for a C, it'll be very easy for you to slip into the F range.

And obviously, you don't want to cut corners later on in life with more demanding employments. Don't make this a habit.

*If it makes you feel better, I have to commute an hour and a half on foot every day.
