Hi,

I'm applying this cycle and pretty worried about my ECs.

-440 hrs research (no publications)
-230 hrs hospital volunteering
-40 hrs shadowing
-30 hrs non clinical volunteering at a cancer foundation
-my summer job is as a camp counselor...over 1000 hrs over 3 summers

For reference my gpa is 3.95 and I'm waiting on mcat results. Thanks in advance

It looks alright to me. Remember that it's mostly about how you spin your research, volunteering, work experience for essays and interviews. You need to be able to talk about how they better prepared you to ultimately become an empathetic physician that can work with a diverse group of people. What did being a camp counselor teach you? Why has that made you a better person? What did you learn from your research? How will it make you a better med student/physician?

Great GPA btw.

Only 40 hours of shadowing? What else did you spend your time on besides playing League and partying every weekend?

Nope, no med school for you. Time to start working on Nursing school apps.

I smell troll
I was worried about not having enough non clinical...everyone I see posting around here is like 500 hrs every section so I was really paranoid haha. Don't mean to be neurotic

Hahha never league...my roommate plays that and it is an all day affair for him. I did go out quite a bit though
