I wouldn't be surprised... These NP's is straight violating on our profession..
I already know people who go to NPs instead of GPs
Will they replace us? Hardly. But they will take up a small portion of the market.
At the end of the day, I doubt the general public will place all their trust in NPs when GPs will continue to be more qualified. I know many people who refuse to be seen by NPs simply for the fact they aren't real doctors.

Short answer: no.
Long answer: nope

Don't sweat this one. We were talking about it 20+ years ago, and even then it was already an old topic. FNPs see a different case mix of patients and don't pose a threat to primary care physicians.
Simple answer: Physicians handle the complex patients. NPs and PAs handle the basic patients.

Nope. BTW, there is no physician shortage, just a maldistribution.
I heard that Nurse Practitioner's in the future may replace GP's due to Physician shortage. Is this true?

Those darn physicians....how do we persuade them to stop sticking to the coastal regions?

The comments on the article and anecdotal experience has me questioning the premise
