So I made a really stupid mistake and miscalculated my hours for one of my most meaningful activities. I worked 400, but put 500 on my application. This was suppose to be a placeholder based on my best estimate. I was planning on going back and verifying my hours, but obviously forgot. I found the mistake when reading over the essay for a secondary, and I saw that stupid 500 sitting there. I immediately contacted my supervisor to see if she could verify my actual hours (should have done this at the beginning but didn't think about it).
SOO, I am going to email all my schools and update them about this mistake because I hate the idea of being dishonest, especially because this experience was legitimately important.
But will this significantly hurt my application? I know it may raise some questions about attention to detail...but I'm hoping it's not too detrimental.
