So now we finally are getting impeachment proceedings.

You are joking right? There is zero chance the Republican senate will push through an impeachment on a president with a 94% approval rating within the Republican Party over an innocuous phone call that the Democrats are blowing into hysterical proportions as usual. The Democrats know it won’t happen either, this is just more posturing and virtue signalling so they can show their supporters frothing at the mouth for Trump blood that they took a tough stance and left no holds barred in trying to force him out of office.
Not to mention the grotesque hypocrisy of the whole thing. The dems allege that it's an impeachable offence for a US politician to contact any foreign entity and ask for them to provide dirt on or investigate a political opponent
even without a quid pro quo (aka even without offering a reward or threatening punitive action)... Well the transcript is out, and there was no quid pro quo. There was no threat of punitive action or offer of reward. He asked the Ukrainian PM to look into the whole scandal with Hunter Biden, which is ironically a situation that is far more egregious occurrence under the same political umbrella. So let's talk about the multiple, repeated occurrences of democrat hypocrisy in this whole farce:
1.) Rewind to 2014. Vice President Joe Biden is at the forefront of re-establishing US diplomatic efforts with Ukraine after the ousting of Russia-friendly Ukraine PM Yanukovych... around this same time period, Biden's son Hunter was conveniently hired by the Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings, quickly appointed as a board member with a 600k/yr salary despite having zero education or experience in the oil/gas industry, and despite having just been dishonorably discharged from the US military for substance abuse. Democrats said Hunter is a private citizen, so it's none of their business to get involved or investigate. Everyone shrugged it off and hand waved away any suggestion of suspicion. Fast forward to March 2016. Ukrainian top prosecutor begins investigating possible corruption in business dealings of Burisma Holdings... Joe Biden flies to Ukraine to meet with Ukrainian PM,
openly admits on video to pressuring him to fire the prosecutor by threatening to withhold a billion dollars of US loans if he doesn't fire him. Direct quote on video from Biden: "Look I'm going to be leaving here in 6 hours. If he's not fired by then you're not getting the money". Everything gets buried by mainstream media, and hand waved away by democrats. No impropriety here, nothing sketchy about any of this. Move along everyone, democrats can do no wrong.

Fast forward to June 2019. A new Ukrainian PM is now in power who is hard on corruption. Donald Trump calls him up and asks him to look into the situation with Burisma and the Bidens to see if there was any impropriety that occurred there (sounds completely reasonable given how sketchy it looks). The full transcript of the call is released. There is no threat or offer of reward associated with the request. This is orders of magnitude less egregious than what Biden did, yet Biden did nothing wrong and Trump should be impeached!
2.) Hillary Clinton and the DNC paid Fusion GPS millions of dollars to obtain dirt from a foreign entity (Christopher Steele) on Donald Trump, an effort that would eventually culminate in what is now known as the "Trump Dossier". Again, literally engaging in worse behavior than what they are pretending to try to impeach Trump for now.
3.) Three democrat senators wrote to the Ukrainian prosecutor in May 2018, strongly urging their government to investigate alleged "Russia-Trump collusion" that was being looked at by Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe and threatened a diplomatic fallout should they not fully cooperate with democrat and special counsel demands for a full open investigation.
Quote from the letter:
We have supported [the] capacity-building process and are disappointed that some in Kyiv appear to have cast aside these [democratic] principles to avoid the ire of President Trump. If these reports are true, we strongly urge you reverse course and halt any efforts to impede cooperation with this important investigation. This reported refusal to cooperate with the Mueller probe also sends a worrying signal — to the Ukrainian people as well as the international community — about your government’s commitment more broadly to support justice and the rule of law.
If you think it's fine that all of these occurrences get shoulder shrugged away while democrats simultaneously reach fever pitch in demanding impeachment while ringing their wrists on the senate floor for Trump merely cordially inviting the Ukrainian PM to investigate possible previous corruption in a phone call without threatening or offering any reward whatsoever... you might just be drinking from a trough of DNC koolaid with horse blinders on. There have been multiple occurrences of democrats engaging in similar behavior but on a far worse level, none of which seems to be "problematic" to them or their mainstream media partners. Rules are for thee, but not for me. Disingenuous hypocrites.
