Hey everyone, just a quick note about Windows 7.
I just upgraded tonight and have had no issues so far. It doesn't seem to be a revolutionary update and some basic functionality has changed (quick launch icons don't open a new window for internet browsers for instance, minor annoyance so far--prob just need to adapt).
Anyhow the main point for writing for any other early adopters...
If you are still in Uni you can get a decent price on the upgrade versions $30USD. http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-us/default.aspx
You can also pick up Office 2007 for a bargain there too. Australia has their own version of that site so if you aren't US based, check around a bit. (itsnotcheating.com.au is the aussie site). All you need to get the deal is a CC and a university email address.
Sorry, just figure there is no reason for people to pay full retail if they don't have to.
