Anyone heard from Wingate about interviews? Ive been told they have only held one round of interviews. Ive been accepted elsewhere but Id really like to go to Wingate. This is getting very frustrating bc my other school will be asking for their deposit VERY soon.

Wingate may have pushed up their primary application date for this cycle, but they are mostly non-rolling meaning that the bulk of their interview sessions don't start until now.

If it gets too close to the other school's deadline and you still want to get into Wingate, then just put the deposit down as you can rescind your offer afterwards. You ensure that you will be going somewhere that way while still going after another school.

The first interview was conducted on Jan 25th and the second one is on Feb 1st, followed by one on Feb 8th. I will be leaving for Charlotte in one day. :luck: Good luck!

Did anyone get accepted in Wingate for the fall 2008?

are they gonna have more rounds after feb 8? in march?

Has anyone gotten an interview there? How were you contacted, by phone, email, mail???

Also, has anyone had a chance to visit the school and the town? I don't know how the school is like but the town seems to be very remote, at least that is how it's presented under Mapquest.

I was interviewed there. The school is small but they got interesting curriculum which is patient oriented and the dean has inspired me a lot that I want to join that college. The profs and the staff are welcoming and my interview was good but they put my name on the rolling admissions list. I am still expecting good news from wingate. The nearest town is monroe. Don't worry about the place, they got outstanding program that makes you competent in your career.

i finally got a call from Wingate on yesterday! i spoke with admissions this morning and have scheduled an interview for Feb 15, 9am. all interviews are on Fridays. i submitted my application in Nov and PCAT scores in Dec.

How is Wingate like? I was reading up in the city that it has a population of 3,000. I hope it is a charming little town. I have not heard from them yet. I sent out the application on the 20th of December and I think I submitted the application pretty late. I have heard that they are pretty competitive too.

I was just wondering if someone could tell me what being a student at Wingate is like. I was accepted there after my Feb. 1 interview. I also have since had another interview that i have not heard from yet, but feel like I will be accepted. I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and send my money in to hold my place (2000 dollars) or wait a couple more days to see what the other school does. I am unsure of which school I had rather attend.

I interviewed with Wingate on Feb 1st as well and got accepted. I don't have $2000 right now to pay the deposit, because i am still not sure if I want to attend wingate. I know that wingate has a great program but the town is really small for me. What have you decided?

Wow, they raised the deposit since I got accepted... I'd be happy to tell you what it is like if you message me with some specific questions. I will go ahead and tell you that I am very happy with my decision to attend WUSOP, and I think that this was where I was meant to be. 🙂

I almost forgot, the town of Wingate is small, but most of us live in Monroe or closer towards Charlotte. Remember, Charlotte is just down the road. It's nice not to have so many distractions through the week and still be able to go do something fun on the weekend.

Wow!!!!! Their deposit is now $2000 last year my friend got in and the deposit was only $1000. I think that if I was considering attending another school I would hold off as long as I could because $2000 is ALOT of money to lose if you chose to attend the other school. You could always overnight the check maybe 2 days before it is due (be sure to send it certified return receipt). Congrats and good luck on the other school

I had an interview with Wingate on Jan 25, but haven't heard from them since then...It might take a month as they said

They called me today and I have an interview!!! 😀
I was wondering what kind of group activities do they have for the interview? Any tough questions I should watch out for? 🙂 Thanks.

They raised the price for the deposit because too many students were backing out. When I got in, my deposit was $500; I imagine it would be really hard to come up with $2000...ouch. For me it would have been.

Yep, its $2000!😡 I just mailed out my deposit today and I might back out after hearing from Mercer. $2,000 is just TOO much money to lose.

Congratulations on your acceptances. I'm sorry you are thinking about backing out of Wingate 🙁 It's truly a great program. But whatever you decide, good luck with your studies!

How long after your interview did you receive your acceptance letter and was it by email or snailmail?

I actually received notification the next week by regular mail. I've been told that pretty much all schools meet immediately after the interviews and mail out the letters. But I'm sure that isn't always the case.

Are you going to Wingate?

Yhea, I had my interview on the 22nd and I received my acceptance letter today.😀 They are very quick on letting you know.

I had to cancel my interview at Wingate. I cannot currently afford their $2000 deposit and if they had accepted me I would have had to turn it down.
