....and is it too late to apply other places

drexel, tufts, MSSM, jefferson, penn state, uconn (interview), einstein (interview), temple, GW, albany (hold).

finch (chicago), georgetown

Georgetown?? really? think it is too late to send in the secondary now though?

are you instate for UConn? That's a good school. You got an interview, not bad. Good luck. What was your breakdown. Did you have 8's and a 9? Do you have a strong GPA? Good school? Experiences?

I hope things turn out well for you. I think you should just apply and not let the 25 hold you back, and I don't think it's too late in the application cycle. Many of us are still filling out secondaries.

i have a 3.9, great recs, experience, publication

i think thats a decent list, although sinai (that is mssm, right?) might be pushing it a little. good luck on your interviews 🙂

Thanks DW...hopefully things will go well.
I think im also going to apply to georgetown and NJ (not robert wood)

ANY OTHERS!!!!

you got an interview to mt. sinai.........

thats pretty good.......i wouldnt be as worried as i think you are right now. you got interviews to couple good schools. some more middle to upper lower tier schools you had an eye on probably would be a good bet.

Don't be discouraged from applying to reach schools either. you might regret about it later, you know? Dat's my two cents.

not at MSSM...interview at einstein and uconn

You should apply to DO schools as well. With that MCAT score, in my opinion, it would be difficult to get accepted to any MD school unless you have above spectacular activities.

It seems like much more weight is put on MCAT than gpa.

I completely disagree. Many people get in with 25's, don't let people in here make you uptight. People in here think the only way you can get into med school is with >30 MCAT's it's stupid if you ask me.🙄

How about Creighton or Loyola? I'm applying to both of them, and received the same score. You might also want to check out SGU or Ross University, but do keep osteopathic schools in mind. And if all else fails, consider retaking the MCAT.

Good luck - I'm pulling for you!

For everyone who got into medical school with a 25 mcat there are a lot more people who had 25 mcats and did not get in. Like someone said earlier, the only people who get in with 25 mcats are URMs or people with some extenuating circumstances. For the most part people with 25 mcats have slim chances. People with 25's who get in are usually the exception not the rule.

Must be nice to be saying this with acceptances under your belt.

I think that you'll do just fine with your 25. You already have interviews at two schools? Others will surely follow. I have a 25 and I was worried after reading alot of stuff posted here. I have four interviews out of the TMDSAS schools and was told at my interview that I was very competitive. My gpa is not as good as yours so I'm sure you'll hear from more schools. Just my two.

A 25 at UCONN will not cut it. Of course, you could be an exception.

Don't worry with the negative remarks of people, you just stay focused and apply...you already have 2 interviews, you may get more!! Good luck. 🙂

where did you apply and get interviews?
