I was about 4 weeks into my immunology course when my GF's father had a heart attack, the same morning my first exam was. I went the hospital. Unfortunately, even under this exempting (IMO) circumstance, I received a 0 on the exam and made the decision to withdraw. This was my first withdrawal in my undergrad career (Science: 3.59, Non-Science: 3.74, Cumulative: 3.63, MCAT: will know Wednesday, guessing 27-30).

Along with that, my load for school was light for the past two quarters as I was prepping for my MCAT in april.

Though this "W" isn't on the transcripts that I sent to AMCAS/AACOMAS, I am wondering how bad this is going to affect my application. I know I will be completely transparent and honest, but the feeling of knowing that some AdCom members may look upon this circumstance as red flag is worrying for me.

Any advice would be truly appreciated 🙂

It may or may not come up but it's definitely not a deal breaker or anything to stress about. Hope your GF's father recovered okay.

It will not affect your application much. Also, many secondaries provide room for explanation of such situations.
