Quick question if I were to withdraw my application would I be considered a re-applicant? I submitted the primary, but didn't submit my transcripts.

Was planning on taking the MCAT this September, but decided to postpone for next cycle.

Well if you didn't submit your application to any schools then I would assume you're not a re-applicant.

You would be a re applicant to that one school.

Even if I haven't submitted my transcript yet therefore they haven't been able to verify me because they need to make sure the inputted grades are correct? Didn't submit LOR either.

I know for the AMCAS you aren't considered a reapplicant until you are verified and you need to submit your transcripts for verification. I thought it was the same for DO schools. Could you link me to this info?

This sucks lol. I unfortunately stupidly applied to a school I liked. I was planning on just applying to DO schools but I've been doing well on the practice exams I've taken for my MCAT prep so I've decided to apply next cycle so I can at least say I gave it a shot at MD schools as well and not have that what if floating around.

Hopefully I'm making sense. And thanks for the responses.

I couldve sworn you become a reapplicant only if you move past verification...

I know that's how it is for the AMCAS app, but not sure about the AACOM app. I thought it was the same. Basically I submitted my app to one school (stupidly probably the best DO school personally for me lol), but I didn't submit my transcripts so I'm not yet officially verified.

As I studied this summer for the MCAT I decided I think it's best to apply to both MD and DO schools next cycle since I feel decently about my MCAT chances after taking a few practice exams. Initially, I was just going to apply to DO this year (since the cycle is longer) and start school sooner than later, but I'd rather just postpone it a year if it means I at least tried for both.

I'm hoping if I withdraw ASAP I'm not considered a reapplicant at that DO school since my transcripts were never sent.
