Hey all, I just wanted to ask out loud (I know this question has probably been addressed before but I couldn't find any more recent threads than 2011).
I am in my final semester of undergrad and I currently have a few medical school acceptances.
Here are some quoted bits from the acceptance packet from one of the schools:
"A grade of "C" will require a written explanation. A grade of "D" or below will result in a re-evaluation of your application."
"All acceptances to the ________ School of Medicine are contingent upon satisfactory completion of all future course work."
I am just a bit worried but due to the business of the interview season that stretched into the spring, poor personal choices, and a distinguished majors research requirement (including thesis) that I need to finish I chose to withdraw from Biochemistry this semester (Just a W, not withdraw failing). I went from a total of 13 credits to 10 which is considered reduced credit load but not part time student since I am a fourth year in my final semester. I did NOT need the class to graduate and actually took it primarily since a few of the schools I initially applied to required the course, none of which are in my final consideration.
This is the first withdraw I will have in my entire college career and all grades other than this class will likely be B+ or higher. Just based on these details can anybody comment on whether or not there is a huge risk of a rescind? Thanks.
