the guy was irritating enough that I had to put him on ignore. Seriously he would individually reply to each and every post that was made here, and 99% of those posts contributed nothing to the discussion. So it actually became hard to navigate this site because every other post was a reply from him. It's like I was just reading his blog than looking at a web forum.

Him and the one girl. Anastamosis? Don't remember if that was the name. the one that took every topic and derailed it making it about her. She'd post in a topic that might have had an interesting conversation, make it all about her, and suddenly the thread was worthless. Both of them are gone, the site is better for it.

It was actually when he became an attending that it got real bad. He was averaging over 100 posts per day after he finished residency until he quit.

Like others I suspect he is still around.

If he is Charmie then he's pulling an epic troll job
 
I thought it turned out that DV wasn't actually in derm or wasn't actually a physician?

I confess that I wasn't paying that close of attention, but I thought that WS said something to that effect.
 
Dermviser is fine. Lets not talk about people that arent around to defend themselves, and we arent supposed to be calling out other posters anyway.

I just brought him up cause I missed some of his input not to call him out or be malicious in any way lol

We're also not supposed to contribute nothing but useless drivel about shoes and boyfriends to every thread.

There's plenty of room here on the big wide internet for people to defend themselves.

Ok but I post so infrequently that even if I was sarcastic this once and somehow flattered WS once, it's hardly a trend. In general I don't call people out or make fun of them (despite the fact that some may have thought that about my post in "long white coats") but I think you'll find more people who have found you and fancy to be a drag than you may realize. Also posting shoes that WS might like definitely takes the cake in WS brown nosing. But I think it's time for my standard two-year hiatus. Because of people like you, Princess Teef, and the various dermatologists who love her, this place just doesn't interest me anymore.

No, I had my suspicions early on but nothing was confirmed. His clinical knowledge was too detailed to be faking it, IMHO.

Additionally his post history all the way back to medical school was consistent, as well as when the majority of his posts occurred (at the end of residency). So it would have been an almost impossibly elaborate troll job.
 
He probably posted too much and too often. But I saw eye to eye with him on a lot of things. It would have been nice if he returned and just posted in moderation.

I noticed he would repeat what other physicians would write, especially GWDS, who he seemed to fawn over. I actually thought his clinical knowledge was super basic. Stuff I would know, or I could quickly Google. I actually never saw him win an argument with a physician here, and he would have them a lot. And then he'd always fall back on you're a med student with everyone else.

His clinical knowledge was about what you'd expect from someone who'd done a TY and a derm residency; problem was he'd doggedly argue with board certified specialists and then self proclaim that he'd won the argument after his 87 posts bludgeoned them into giving up responding.

The last couple of months he was posting he was kind of like the multiplying Mr Smiths in the Matrix sequels - a virus taking over the site. He was literally everywhere poking arguments on the subspecialty forums etc. I think/hope the break when he was suspended made him realize he had an Internet addiction
