Word/Character limit on personal statements for PTCAS?

Does anyone know if there is a character limit for the personal statements/statements of purpose on PTCAS? I'm attempting to write mine, but I find that to be a little difficult to do without knowing what the character limit is. Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, the limit is 4,500 characters (not words).
