How possible will it be for someone to take the Kaplan course while working full time? They have evening classes in my area, but I wanted to get a sense of how hard it's going to be time wise? Anyone done this?

I'm doing this - well, mainly using Kaplan for the questions. I just do my normal review using other books (non-kaplan), then hit up the corresponding section on Kaplan, and do their problems. It's pretty intense, but if you just make it a part of your schedule it isn't too bad. It takes me about 4 hours per day to do content + Kaplan questions. It's definitely demanding, but very possible.

I think the key is to just accept it as part of your schedule and move on. The minute you start to think, "Man, this is a lot! But I'm going to step-up and do it!" you're already telling yourself that it's something you have to prove to yourself that you can do. Just accept the task, and do it! If I'm able to do it so far, I know you can!

How long will the course last? Would they accommodate my schedule if I couldn't catch up with the loads?

You should have done more research on the kaplan website before posting because it would answer all of your questions. I'm not sure what you mean with accomodate your schedule. You pay the money, get materials and then after that they really dont care if you show up or do your work. It is all up to you. (however if you dont do all the online practice tests and come to all the classes you dont get the higher score guarentee).

I would not suggest taking a Kaplan course. I know of far more people that took it and weren't satisfied than people who took it and liked it.

I think devising your own study schedule and purching books on your own is much more effecting (not to mention economical!)

I agree. I would save the money and go with one of the plans some have offered in this forum. The only thing I have heard good about Kaplan is the practice tests sciences. I basically agree with that too...

I work full time and am enrolled in a 3.5 month Kaplan Course clad with two 3-hour evening classes a week. I am taking the MCAT at the end of January, so I will have an extra month to study up. It's totally doable - you don't need to do everything. The classroom setting has actually really helped me.
