Guys,
I am in a dilemna.
I know I need money but should I really work Mon-Sat 9-5 until school starts. Or can I just work P/T (Thurs-Sat 9-5) and still enjoy the summer?
Why isn't my dad Donald Trump?!!!

is this honestly a serious dilemma? dude, make your own decisions.

If working full time for a single summer sounds painful, then maybe dental school isn't for you.

it depends how busy you are and how much you value the summer.

for me, it depends on where i end up in school. if i end up in my hometown where finding a place to live and getting ready for school is a breeze, i'll work part-time and make a couple thousand dollars so i can eat during dental school 🙂

if i end up going away from my hometown, i'll probably take the whole summer off and spend time becoming acquainted with the city, finding a place to live, etc.

i wouldn't work full time unless you are absolutely desperate for money. remember, the money you make will pale compared to what you will make as a dentist, so don't overdo yourself.

but if you think you can still enjoy your time off by working 20 hours a week, go for it.

Who asks these sorts of questions? Join the real world...get a job and stop whining. Try working full time, taking classes, and studying for the DAT all at the same time and then talk to me about pain. Wimp. I think this is the meanest I've ever been to anyone posting on here, but whiskey is right, maybe dental school isn't for you. Wimp.

so basically your dilemma is whether you should or should not work for the money that you need 🙄

honestly, some people need to sit down for 5 minutes away from the computer and ask themselves these types of questions instead of posting on an anon internet forum. trust me... it's really not that hard to do.

work part time!! enjoy your summer!

git yo self a jobby job!

What deliemna??? If you really "need" the $$$. You will "have to" work regardless it's painful or not... If you have the options of working part time or full time, maybe you don't really need the $$.

i think some of you guys were way too harsh on the guy. was the question a bit... odd? maybe.

but everyone has asked questions here... no need to flame the guy.

Work if you need the money! Hell im working 30 hours a week, shadowing 5 hours a week, and studying my ass off for the DAT... You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

i'd work if someone would hire me...oh well i guess i'll just be a bum. 😳
