"Work Experience" vs. "Research Experience"

SOO - I worked for several years as a research technician between College & Med School. (Got several papers and posters out of it, too.)

I have to pick one or the other option from ERAS's drop-down menu:
Work Experience
-OR-
Research Experience

Does it matter?

I would go with the research section because it looks better to places that like to say everybody does research.
