Work for a year before fellowship?

How common is this path? Is it possible to get a position just for one year in order to line your pockets and make life more comfortable during fellowship/getting established? ANyone had any experience with this?

I dont see why you would need to. I mean you will be board eligible/certified so why wouldnt you just get a part time job as an anesthesiologist while doing your fellowship. In terms of moonlighting could it get any better? You could work 2 weekend shifts a month and live very comfortably. Maybe thats impracticle but thats just my thoughts on it.

Is it possible to moonlight while in a fellowship? What are the hoursand pay in a fellowship like? And how much $ could you earn working a weekend?
