So I keep hearing that Dental Schools really want to see if you can hack their rigorous schedule and that they look at you course load from undergrad.
Currently I work 40+ hours per week at my job and have about 9-13 credits per semester. Throw 3 - 4 hours a week volunteering, and shadowing and I try to spend a few hours a day with the wife and kids. Needless to say my time is completely filled up.
Do Dental schools only look at your coarse load when they are considering you for an interview? Or your whole entire schedule?

They didn't with me. My post-bacc was done mostly on a part-time basis (was working 40 hrs and doing 5-13 credits per term). This didn't reflect negatively whatsoever. I ever asked some schools about this and they said its okay because they understand some people have to work, so its physically impossible for them to be fulltime students like your typical 20-year old undergrad with no serious job/obligations

Thanks! Good job on your Post Bac stats, Thats awesome. Although I am pretty sure that if someone who has a solid 4.0 for their entire Post Bac (like yourself) doesn't need a whole lot of explanation for anything else. 😀

well... the counter argument coulda been that my studies were done on a part-time basis, which is why I performed so well.

However, as you can see, high grades > high number of credits per term.
