Work-related Experience:

I work in a lab on campus, taking care of the various research animals for several departments (one of the main ones being Psychology).

I was just wondering if you think graduate programs would consider this to be valuable experience related to research, or just look at it as a job I've had, and nothing more.

Unless you are helping implement the experiments, run the rats, or contribute to the data analysis, its not worth a whole lot in term of the "resesrch experience" that Ph.D programs need to see.

Unless you were involved in the conceptualization of studies or the collection or analysis of data, I wouldn't call the experience relevant. Sorry.

It's fine. I'm going to be doing an honors thesis/independent study anyway. So I'll have experience. I was just curious if it would be any sort of extra boost.
