Do you think doing work-study during dental school is feasible? I'm pretty decent at time management, but I'm still a little worried. I would be an incoming D1.

It all depends on what the job is and how flexible they are to work with your schedule. Generally, work-study is understanding. Some jobs allow you to study while manning a desk or phone. Sometimes you can find a position getting paid to help do research tasks on your own schedule and just need to fit in 5-20 hours per week. I wouldn't commit to anything that wants >10 hours in D1/D2 year unless weekends are an option.

Yes if you are good at time management. I have worked 20ish hours a week since end of D1. Now I am up to around 30 or so hours a week. But I will preface with I absolutely love my job so that makes it a lot easier to do. It would definitely be harder if I had an extremely boring job.

You can do it. As with anything in life you will have to sacrifice other things so you have to weigh if it is 'worth it' to you.

I worked in the school's library. Great for d1 and d2 because it forced me to study with minimal distractions

I worked ~17hrs/ week during dental school to support myself financially and did reasonably well in tests/ assessments. I worked on Saturdays and Sundays as a receptionist and casual tutor. It is definitely doable, but I did not have any time for socialising so I had to compartmentalise that aspect of my lifestyle to occasional outings with friends.
