I just received my financial aid and I received work study. They said they will pay me $10/hr for volunteer work and $8.50/hr for oncampus work. So, I guess the answer to your question is yes.

irish-- when did you find out??? i'm still in the dark as far as what i got:(

jhug,

I found out a while ago--July 02 to be exact. I think maybe I was one of the first people. I don't know if anyone else has received anything yet (though its getting a little late). Have you called them lately? I think I bugged them so much, that they eventually just hurried up and did mine (to get me to shut-up).

Let me know!

Matt

P.S. How are the kids doing? Are they liking the AZ heat?

thanks for the pm and the concern!!
i forgot to ask you wether you think you'll do the volunteer (i think it is funny they call in volunteer if you are paid;) ) or the work study??
I hope i get the work study option...it is a good way to get food money for the month

I thought I would do the pseudo-"volunteering." I think that includes things like the health fair and the physicals for high school students. I think those would be good experiences that I would do anyway. I might as well get paid--right? Besides, they pay more for volunteering, so I wouldn't have to "work" as much (more time for studying) ;)

Irish-- i got it!!! i don't know why i am so excited about all this debt:)!!!!! anyway, how much did you get a quarter for the work study? pm if you don't want to broadcast it!! i don't know if my amount means per month or if i just didn't get that much.......
