hello~~~~~~~
i need ur suggestions!
i was doing pre-pharmacy for two years
and suddenly changed to pre-dent 🙂 recently
everybody asks me why...but i don't really know🙁
anyways!
i have been working as a pharm tech
and i am not sure if i should keep working there
because i don't have enough time to study DAT and do shadowing and all the other stuffs....
but i kinda think it's a good experience...
what do u guys think???????????????????😕

Well for your own personal knowledge I would go and at least shadow a few hours to have an idea what being a dentist entails. This is the rest of your life, I dont suggest making career decisions on a whim. I also dont think Adcoms are going to take to keenly when they ask you why you switched to dentistry and you say "I dont know". Either way you look at it they are going to want to see some sort of experience so you have a concrete idea on what you want to do. But I would say your first step, before even studying for the DAT is to get some shadowing hours in before you make any leaps of faith. Not trying to be mean, but Id hate to see ya make the decision to apply and then end up regretting it. Good luck.

You absolutely do not know why you want to do dentistry?! 😱 I advise that you research this career thoroughly. The best way is to do some shadowing. If you don't have enough time to work, you should quit and truly become dedicated to the dental field. Why is working as a pharm tech good experience (besides making enough money for outrageous dental school tuition)?

Yea and i would leave that out of your app. They will drill you on that topic....u better have a good reason for not goin into pharm.
