Hello,
I am considering a career in audiology and I'm wondering if it is possible to work part time while in school. I know an Au.D program must be intensive...I work as a respiratory therapist right now and can pretty much make my own schedule. Would I be able to work 2 eight hour shifts a week? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can work, but it's very hard. My first quarter in the AuD program I continued working 30 hours a week in the bio medical lab I worked in and let me tell you it was extremely exhausting. I received an assistantship during winter and it made my life much easier. Sure it's not the same cash level, but the tuition waiver and monthly paycheck help with the rent and groceries.
