So I have been getting pretty nervousafter reading a few posts around here. I submitted my AMCAS on7/8 and my transcript should have been received on the same day. Is it going to take like a month like some people say for them to actually acknowledge that they received the transcript? I am thinking about requesting another set of transcripts just to safeguard against them losing the first set. I know that it could take 4-6 weeks to be verified, but I am really worried about waiting a month to have them acknowledge the transcripts then another 4-6 weeks to verify...that would be brutal.

Any insight on to this would be much appreciated. I guess all I can do is start working on some secondaries.

I submitted the AMCAS two weeks ago. (6/28) It only took one week for my application to process. However, I had my transcripts sent in much sooner.

Point being, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Once they receive your transcripts, it may take less time than you think.

It seems like right now AMCAS is taking a little less than a week to acknowledge receipt of a transcript. If you don't receive e-mail confirmation by the end of this week, then try calling or sending another copy of your transcript.

I was going to wait until after summer school to send mytranscript. I'm taking cell bio (will get an A) and microbio (probably get a B). Do you guys think it's worth it to wait so that those classes will be on the transcript?
We don't have a + or - grade system... that's it's just a B in microbio.
Anyway... what do you guys think... does that make sense or should I send them in now?

As people have mentioned before, it depends on how much it wil help you. Figure out your BCPM with and without this summer's grades, and if its not going to give you that much of a bump, then send them now. (There was wone example where the summer courses bumped a 2.6 to 3.0...in this case you def would wait.) In any case, get your AMCAS complete and send that in...no sense in waiting.
