I'm starting this Fall 2013 of my first semester of my senior year at UTD. I just recently found out about this forum and this forum is definitely helping out a lot and giving me insight about PT schools and such. But I'm worried here and on crunch time with grades, applying and such, just like other students pursuing Physical Therapy.

Starting my first semester in the Fall, I am undergoing an internship at a hospital facility to take in hours in for shadowing and volunteering, in addition to my volunteering over summer. But with grades, I didn't do well in my Chem 2 and Bio 2 class, so right now I'm retaking Bio 2 for this Fall to get a better grade and retaking Chem 2 on my last semester of senior year but the thing is if I plan to submit my application for September deadlines, I'm pretty much screwed and I really don't want to take a year off til I apply for graduate school. I'm hoping and praying for the best right now as I'm just starting now to study for the GRE and HOPEFULLY take it by the end of this summer if I feel prepared enough, but I'm trying to see which books and materials/strategies, etc. are best recommended. So, if you guys can give me some insight on anything about my situation, let me know! Definitely worried and trying to have the determination and strong mind-set to finish strong and apply by September. Hoping for the best. I dont think i explained everything my situation well thoroughly but that's where I'm at right now. I can explain more after.

Appreciate it guys!

What internship are you talking about? You don't need an internship to get volunteer hours.

You need to do really well in BIO 2 and Chem 2. Unfortunately, your original grades will be what they see until you finish those classes and send your updated transcripts.

If you don't want to wait a year, then send everything in July and August of this year and pray for the best. Prayer works!

Thanks Kevin!

Well it's a healthcare internship that is required for my Health Care Studies degree that I'm trying to finish up and get my BA in. The internship enables me to have more shadowing and experience with PTs at hospital facilities, and it will work in part with helping me get my hours that I will need since i know schools require a certain amount of hours when applying.

I know this is a dumb and obvious question, but you think it would affect my chances from first impression on first transcript I send? And sending in the other transcript would still be able to be viewed in part of being accepted also?
