This is already in the WAMC thread, but only one person replied. I want to get more opinions and specifically for the three schools that I will mention, because this waiting game is nerve-racking. Chance me for UNC, Univ. Maryland-Baltimore, and Ohio State.
Graduated 2008 Business Mgmt. Good State Uni. Worked for 3 years abroad as a teacher. Went back to school for science and math prereqs. at University in 2012.
UG GPA: 2.2 (7 W's, 5 F's, 6 D's)
Postbacc GPA: 3.73 (40 hrs. all math/sci)

cGPA: 2.5 (the minimum) (206 Credit hours!)
sGPA: 3.08
mathGPA: 3.19

PCAT
Verbal: 87
Biology: 95
Reading: 81
QA: 99
Chemistry: 97
Composite: 98

I started as pharm tech at CVS in August and am NC certified. Submitted everything just this week pharmcas and supps. Every school's deadline is either Dec. or Jan.
Good PS, 4 LORs: organic, research, clinical pharm friend, calc, not much EC, good work experience. Micro and human a/p 2 and a few labs left to take.

Even if you're not sure gimme your chance opinion. Thanks!

Very good chances! Your PCAT and work experiences should at the very least get you an interview. Nail that and you're set! 🙂

Nobody knows your actual outcome. Whether or not you are offered an interview is up to the AdCom. Your post-bac GPA and PCAT scores are amazing. Be confident and patient.

You're going to be fine. Good luck.

You should have a chance for mid tier schools. I don't think you can guarantee yourself acceptance to higher tier schools.

I think you have a decent chance! Many schools look for different things and many schools pay a lot attention to the last +2 years of school work. While you may have not done strong the first time around, your grades have shown that you have matured and grown over the years. I don't know how you are going to write your personal essay but I would definitely write a small paragraph stating that you did not start off the strongest, but have grown through your trials and hardships and am a better student/person today because of them.
Good luck and keep us updated! 🙂

you got better stats than me. I got into maryland.
